How do I become a mentor?

Applications are now open to become a mentor in the Study NSW English Conversation Club.

As a mentor, you will provide valuable social and connectivity support to NSW international students, and you will be an important guide in their student journey.

You will also develop your own professional development skills and gain positive graduate attributes.

As a mentor, you will receive free training through the Mentor Academy, gain confidence, develop your leadership and interpersonal skills and expand your networks.

Please follow these steps to register your interest as a mentor.

1. Follow the steps above and log into the Study NSW Virtual Student Hub on Vygo.

2. Join the English Conversation Club as program as a Member.

3. When you are a Member, click on the drop down ‘You are a member’ blue box, and select ‘Become a mentor’:

4. You will then be prompted to answer some join questions, and your application will go to our Study NSW team who will review your application and notify you if you are approved to proceed.

If you are approved, you will be required to send through an updated resume with two referees, and you will need to complete mentor onboarding.
